A reader recently called my attention to the dead links in this blog. Thanks for the note and my apologies to all. Two websites that I link to quite often, state.gov and the Senate Foreign Relations Committee (SFRC) have recently undergone a make over. As a consequence, some of the links especially those relating to the nomination hearings may no longer be working. As this blog is a one-person operation, I cannot go back over a thousand posts and repair the dead links. I hope to update or redo the nomination hearing page and put that back up as soon as I can. Cheers!

Perhaps a silly request, but I follow your blog through an RSS feed. Every time I have to click through to your website, because only the titles show up in the feeder - no text. Is there any way you can modify that? Thanks!
Thanks! I'll see what I can do, Hannah.
Hannah - I think I remember now why I wanted the RSS version to be short (I selected short but it only publishes the titles of the blog posts). Most of the time, my blog posts are quite long, and I also have a tendency of putting them up and then tweaking them during the day when I have time. I'd like readers to come and read it in my blog because chances are, the post had been updated. I'll see if I can do something about the short summary that refuses to pop up. Another option is to sign up for an email subscription. I have to remember to add a note and link so people will check for an updated post in my blog. I'm still playing with this to find a happy medium for the subscribers. Thanks, DS
